How great is this? Stila Cosmetics and its’ new partner Mattel Inc, join forces to create a barbie makeup line!@#$ As if we haven’t waited long enough MAC cosmetics dabbled in it for a few and made over 9 million in retail sales alone! Stila Cosmetics hopes to increase the figurine as more than just a high profiled doll. The line will be sold in Sephora, February 2009. Here’s the interesting part. Since it is barbies 50th Birthday, they are actually setting up Themed decade dolls! how cute is this..

  • 1959 - Why of course, when Barbie was born! This Cosmetic line will contain classic vintage look. Red lipstick and liquid liner – yummy!
  • Malibu Barbie – will contain her classic looks such as pale pink lipstick
  • Foxy barbie – honoring the 1980s ( my favorite decade) she will include a Bronzer and a lip gloss
  • 2000 Barbie - last but not least, the Millennium Barbie! she will include a sparkling jeweled lip gloss and a multi effect mascara. YAY ^_^

MICHELLE OBAMA MAKEUP TIPS
“There’s nothing like the classic smoky eye,” Iman says. “It’s a great look that can be worn day and night.” Iman suggests applying a rich jewel tone directly to the lid. “A perfect color for her is the IMAN Luxury Eyeshadow in African Violet. Even a dark emerald green or dark cobalt blue will have the same affect without being too deep for day.” Apply a lighter shade in the middle, such as Nutmeg from Iman’s line. “Apply right to the hollow of the eye, just under the brow tone, to add shape and dimension. Complete the eye with a lighter shade moving away from the lash line. Integrate all three of these colors by blending very well, and voilà!”

Every season the runways give us trends not only in fashion, but make-up as well.  This spring we see softer colors on cheeks, eyes and lips.

1. Flawless Foundation

Matte, Matte & More Matte seems to be in. Save the glitter for the summer, the clean look is in. Don’t Go crazy though, you might end up getting a very caked on look..

2. Sultry, Smokey Eyes

The smokey eye has been a favorite everywhere, especially in the hollywood scene. This season is a little more soft then your average black smoked eye. Light grays, blues, and most notably purples, to create the look. Start by lining eyes with a pencil liner in a color of your choice, then smudge coordinating shadow along the lashline and into the crease.
