Bold Beautiful Lips and huge hair walks the catwalk!

The beauty bee is buzzing in Paris and for this years fall 2009 look we see BOLD BEAUTIFUL LIPS! Colors from oranges, fuchias and deep red vampy hues seemed to be screaming on the runway. Many designers painted the models with white foundation to show and contrast the mouths, while others opted more the more natural look – Dewy Luminous vibrant skin! “It was a very strong season for makeup,” said Lyne Desnoyers, of cosmetics mogul MAC, and also does makeup at 35 Paris shows. “It was all about precision – we all got out our brushes and sharpened our pencils and nothing was left to chance. Nothing was innocent.”

HOT HEADED MOUTHS

At Emanuel Ungaro’s show – lips matched the colors of an upbeat rainbow complimented with cocktail dresses and minis. The eyes were totally nude, top lips pink and bottom lips purple. Dries Van Noten had his models sporting citrus shades.Masters of the red carpet, Elie Saab and Jean Paul Gaultier used both strong eyebrows to balance out strong lips in cherry red and bubblegum pink.

Makeup artist Desnoyers said “it’s all about modulating.” “Instead of going for a big matte mouth, Jane Doe might make it more subtle and wearable by adding a touch of gloss,” she said.

Jaw Dropping Eyes

Chanel’s models had their lower lids piled with sequins and black beads their lips a sweet innocent contrast swept in baby pink.
Prada’s line, Miu Miu went crazy with raccoon like patches that reached above the brow line, showing us another TREND of TARNISHED METALLICS and COPPERY TONES. “It was meant to look strong and edgy without looking too messed up,” said Denmark’s Carolina Patterson, a senior makeup artist with MAC.
