Cosmetic Company Max Factor gets Discontinued in The United States

Prominent Cosmetic Company MAX FACTOR will no longer be available in the U.S!
After a long fight, the Cosmetic Company – Max Factor, will no longer be sold in the United States. About 100 years old and was worn by such classic beauties as Marilyn Monroe we wave by to the legacy it will leave. It will however still be available abroad. Interestingly enough, Max Factor is number one in both Russia and the U.K.

P&G said in a statement today it will discontinue the brand in the U.S. effective in the first quarter of 2010 — though under P&G policy, the brand may be available on closeout for months beyond that should its remaining retailers wish. “Max Factor is a strong, profitable brand and remains one of [P&G beauty's] key engines for global growth,” Virginia Drosos, president of global female beauty for P&G, said in a statement. “P&G is fully committed to profitable growth and leadership — both in the U.S. and globally.” Good-Bye Max Factor.. You will be missed </3

Oh no…what a shame to hear. When you think of cosmetics, Max Factor immediately comes to mind. Oh well, thank goodness we can always buy from the internet right?

It’s a shame that U.S. citizens will not be available to buy these products in this country while Russia and other countries can. Do I see Russia helping out other countries? Well, no. Max Factor better get it there while they can because I will never buy another of their products or Cover Girl and will certainly shy away from any P & G product. Good luck in Russia, Max Factor!

I have been using Max Factor Panstick for over 40 years. After visiting several stores I was told by a sales consultant that it was no longer being carried in the United States. In desperation I went to the Internet and found it at drugstore.com at a very reasonable price. I ordered 3 and got free shipping. I emailed my mom (another faithful user) and she is ordering her’s right now.
I’m happy that I will still be able to get it but can’t understand why it’s discontinued in this country.

I just ordered my Max Factor PanStik Foundation (Nude Ivory #121). I have been wearing this foundation since I was sixteen or so,more years than I care to count…some may feel it’s a little heavy but you can put on as little as needed or as much as needed. Anyway, I told Shane at beauty.com that I needed to place an order for Max Factor foundation and he says, let me guess..PanStik. Apparently, there is quite the demand for their cosmetics. Perhaps, Max Factor should reconsider.
I’ve never had any issues finding the product at Walmart but they’ve been out of it for the last couple months and I finally googled and found out why! Duh..I live in a bubble apparently.
And I’ve emailed Proctor and Gamble…let’s bombard them with emails and hope they put Max Factor back in the U.S.!
